Child Safety Policy
All children or young people who attend services, programs, and events delivered here at La Verite Dance Projects have the right to feel and be safe. The wellbeing and safety of children and young people in our care will always be our priority.
LVDP has zero-tolerance of child abuse and is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe and child friendly organisation where all children are valued and protected from abuse.
LVDP is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation where protecting children from abuse is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of our staff and volunteers.
1.1 La Verite Dance Projects is an inclusive and welcoming environment that supports the safety, participation, empowerment and wellbeing of all children. In particular, LVDP will:
a) promote the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds; and
b) provide a safe environment in which children with a disability can participate equally.
1.2. La Verite Dance Projects does not tolerate child abuse in any form, and will:
a) take a proactive approach to the prevention of child abuse by identifying, removing and/or reducing risks early; and
b) treat all allegations and safety concerns relating to child abuse very seriously.
